Delhi Public School Durg celebrated the 72nd Republic Day with great patriotic zeal and fervour. DPS Durg collaborated with the NSPCL, Bhilai to present a virtual programme ‘Nurturing Synergizes with Energy’ ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’on the eve of Republic Day i.e. 25th January 2021, which was witnessed on the Facebook page of the school.The programme included speech on constitution and its salient features, mime, patriotic songs and dances and recitation of a Hindi poem by the students of DPS Durg and the ones representing NSPCL. The programme was initiated by Mr. V M Rajan, CGM and BUH NSPCL, Bhilai and also by the Mr. Yashpal Sharma, Principal DPS Durg. The Vote of thanks was proposed by Mr. K.S. Bisht, HM, DPS Durg. The virtual programme received appreciation in superlatives from its viewers.
In the subsequent celebration on 26th January 2021, Mr. Yashpal Sharma, Principal DPS Durg, unfurled the tricolour flanked by heads and in-charges of the school, to the accompaniment of the National Anthem and addressed the viewers on Facebook page including parents, teachers and students. In his address, he highlighted the importance of the constitution and opined that we as Indians are fortunate to have one of the largest constitutions of the world. He urged parents to understand their children, teachers to be good role models and students to focus on learning life skills and being a part of solutions.
He eulogized the armed forces who consistently remain on guard to protect us from both natural and man-made disasters, mitigating crisis. He exhorted people to always be faithful and appreciative of them. He viewed that the parade on 26th January at the Red fort exhibited the nation’s might and magnificence filling us with endless pride.
