The NUTRITION WEEK
A healthy food habit can be inculcated amongst children from a tender age , practically they can be trained from the pre - school level. Thus, they can become aware about the merits of eating healthy food and the bad consequences of the intake of junk food.
Good nutrition will provide our kids the best chance to grow and develop properly. Although each essential nutrient plays a role in childhood development, deficiencies in certain key nutrients are detrimental to a child’s health.
Keeping in mind the increasing level of obesity amongst kids,PPW wing of DPS, Durg observed a “NUTRITION WEEK" in the first week of September. Different activities organized under this program are as follows –
Collage
Colouring of worksheets
Segregating healthy and junk food wrappers
Rallies by the tiny tots inside the school campus with placards based on the theme of “nutrition”
With the co-operation of the parents, the "NutritionWeek" was a great success. Parents are habituated in sending "Healthy and Homemade Food".
