DPS Durg Celebrated Open Day of Pre-Primary Wing and Classes I & II with Vibrant Cultural Showcase.
Delhi Public School, Durg came alive with joy, creativity, and celebration as the Pre-Primary Wing and Classes I & II marked their Open Day with great enthusiasm on Thursday, 5th February 2026.The programme was graced by Shri Lalit Chandrakar (member of legislative Assembly, Durg- Rural) as the Chief Guest, in the esteemed presence of Principal and Director Madam Punita Nehru, along with members of the press, parents, staff, and students.
The celebrations began with the auspicious lighting of the ceremonial lamp, symbolising knowledge and enlightenment. The Director Ma’am extended a warm welcome and inspired the gathering with her motivating address.
The theme, “Abhivyakti – The Expression,” beautifully highlighted the confidence, creativity, and individuality of every child. The vibrant cultural programme included the energetic action song ‘Shine Your Way,’ Chick Dance, Mikey Minnie, and ‘Rhythm & Fun’, emphasising fitness and the joy of sports.
Students further mesmerised the audience with graceful Chhattisgarhi and Kashmiri folk dances, celebrating India’s rich cultural heritage. The highlight of the event was a meaningful Hindi Dance–Drama titled “Parvarish – Sangharsh Se Safalta Tak,” portraying the journey from nurturing and perseverance to success, leaving the audience inspired.
The Chief Guest felicitated meritorious students for their achievements in academics and co-curricular activities.The programme concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Navisha Vadera of Class II, followed by the National Anthem.
The event was expertly coordinated by Academic Coordinators Ms. Sadiya Farooqui and Ms. Navneet Kaur Rekhi. The programme for Classes I & II was confidently compered by Tanashvi Agrawal, Kuhu Rathore, Shrikant Pant, Mannan Thakur, Kritika R. Ganesh, Reyansh Nair, and Moira Mishra, while the Pre-Primary segment was charmingly anchored by Rudra Sharma, Zainab Iqbal, Divyansh Tandon, Sushant Dave, Marvi Mishra, and Swara Bende, whose innocence and confidence added special warmth to the celebration.
The Open Day truly reflected DPS Durg’s commitment to holistic education, nurturing talent, and fostering self-expression, making it a memorable experience for all.
