Annual Day Celebration (SW) 2025-26 Anugooj
DPS Durg celebrated its Annual Day, Anugoonj -2025 on 10th December 2025,amidst great splendor, mirth and zest. The Chief Guest gracing the occasion was hon’ble Shri Arun Sao, Deputy Chief Minister, Chhattisgarh State.The other dignitaries included Dr Himanshu Dwivedi, Managing Editor, Haribhoomi,Mr HS Batra, Mr Satvik Sindhu, Members Managing Committee, DPS Durg , founder and former Principal, DPS Durg, Ms M.Perwin Rasheed,Mr Rikesh Sen, MLA, Vaishali Nagar, Mr Subhash Sheoran, Director Indus group of Schools, Ms Puneeta Nehru, Principal & Director, DPS Durg, Parents, teachers and students.
The Programme commenced with the floral Welcome entailed by the introduction of the Chief Guest by Ms Zohra Husain, Activities Incharge, followed by the lighting of the Ceremonial Lamp by the Chief Guest and the eminent dignitaries accompanied by the Principal and Director, Ms. Puneeta Nehru.
Next, the Principal & Director Ms Puneeta Nehru extended formal welcome to the guests and the gathering and presented the School’s Annual Report comprising laurels, attainments and achievements of the students.The ’Best House’for the Session 2023-2024 was won by the Aravalli House. The award was received by the House Wardens, House Captains & Prefects.
The Cultural Programme based on the theme “Anugoonj-2025, the Echo of Imagination - The Voice of Talent” was a mesmerizing extravaganza including Welcome Dance ’Ganesh Vandana’, English Play, "Pygmalion" a Mime, Breaking the Shackles an impressive Dance Drama ’Yug Yatra’ tracing the evolution of Indian culture from the times of Mohenjodaro to the modern era, its beautiful impactful transformation,projecting the great potential and talent of students that completely enthralled the parents who continuously kept praising and applauding the performers, throughout the programme.
The Chief Guest flanked by the eminent dignitaries, gave away prizes to the meritorious student awardees, for excellence in Academics.
The Chief Guest, in his address, stated that he was very elated to have attended the grand Annual day program of DPSDurg.
He lauded greatly the School ,its Principal and Director Ms. Puneeta Nehru,and the great performance of students.He urged students to utilize their time, to study well with complete focus, He further urged them, to achieve such excellence that success would follow them, inevitably and consequently the nation would be proud of them, as well. He was superlative in his praise and appreciation for the school for having put up a spectacular, impressive and classy program.
The vote of thanks was proposed by Ashviqua Sharma, Head Girl. The smart student anchors of the programme were Anushka Soni and Anubrat Koley.
The programme ended with the National Anthem.
